Herons Glen Bocce

Overview

Welcome to Bocce at Herons Glen. The community has six bocce courts open to all residents of the Glen without cost. Equipment is provided and available in an on-site storage shed.

Playing bocce does not require any particular athletic skills. In fact, many people find bocce a very enjoyable form of exercise.

The Herons Glen Bocce Association [HGBA] represents the interests of all residents involved in playing Bocce. Membership is optional. The cost is $5 per year. The money supports various resident activities in the Glen.

The Association holds its annual meeting the first Thursday in Janury each year, at which Directors are elected to manage the Association for the upcoming year. There are seven Directors on its Board. The HGBA holds an annual banquet, normally during the fourth week of March. Membership in the HGBA is not required to attend the banquet.

Open Play

At no cost, play is available every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, all day Sunday and times not designated for scheduled or league play. Courts may be reserved by calling the current HGBA president or vice-president. If you show to play without a reservation and the court is not previously reserved, you are free to play.
