Debris Collections
Sunday-12-18-2022- @ 20:50
The Lee County FEMA contractors finished in Herons Glen a week ago. Debris that was not picked up at that time was not position in an area for them to pick up.

I just received confirmation from Lee County Solid Waste that there will be a second debris collection pass. They said to get remaining debris to the curb as quickly as possible to ensure collection. They cannot give us a time frame of when they are coming back. The HOA does not control when they come back or if they pick up your debris. The cost is paid for by Lee County and they are reimbursed by FEMA. Residents have the option to wait for the free pickup or haul away at their own expense. If you miss the FEMA pickup you will need to make arrangements at your expense to have hauled away.

Please do not put out normal trimmings in a debris pile. You should follow the normal disposal requirements for Waste pickup. Keep debris on the sidewalk not the street or valley gutters. Do not block mailboxes or make the pile high enough to block someone's the sight distance.

• Containerized yard waste collection resumed in all of Lee County’s franchised service areas on Monday, Nov. 14.
• Residents should use containers, paper lawn and leaf bags or clear plastic bags to set the material curbside on their regular collection day.
