Exterior Work

The Herons Glen Homeowners Association, Inc. Rules and Policies require Homeowner’s to have the approval of the Homeowners Association through its ARC Committee before exterior modifications or improvements are made to a home. Please review all Community-Wide Standards, Guidelines, Policies and the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for Herons Glen. Documents can be accessed online at http://www.heronsglenhoa.org or at the Herons Glen HOA Office.

ARC Applications for exterior work and required documentation must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to the scheduled meeting. Work cannot be started until the application is reviewed and approved by the ARC. Applications are approved at the ARC meeting by vote of the committee members.

For ARC application review at the February 14th ARC meeting, applications and support documents must be submitted by February 7th to the HOA Office. For ARC application review at the February 28th ARC meeting, applications and support documents must be submitted by February 21st to the HOA Office.
Security- Visitor Management

Visitors need to be registered through the visitor management system, please call (239) 360-3515 or 888-994-4117 or register visitors online at visitor management visitor management.

Option 1- Online Visitor Management at Dwelling Live: click link- Visitor Management
If you need registration information, please send an email to hoaoffice@heronsglenhoa.org.

Option 2- Call (239) 360-3515 or 888-994-4117 to register your guest. The message will be directly attached to your address if you are calling from a phone number you have registered in the system. When your guest arrives and provides your address, the guard will be able to access your voicemail approving the visitor. You may also leave any other messages or requests for security at the above telephone numbers. Once you leave a voicemail the guard will be immediately notified of the voicemail.

When calling if your phone number is registered in dwelling live you will hear the address your phone number is registered to.
• If you have more than one address at Herons Glen, then follow the prompts to select the address you are registering a visitor for.
• If you receive a message that your phone number is not registered, please contact the HOA Office at 239-731-0322 or send an email to Lori.hghoa@gmail.com. Please include your address and phone number if you send an email or leave a message for the HOA Office.

Leaving a voicemail on the visitor management security system:
Please speak as clearly as possible, provide the name of the person or company, and expected date of arrival, and how long you want the pass to be issued for. Before ending the call PRESS THE # BUTTON then you can end the call.

Do not call or leave a message on the main telephone number that is listed in your directory for the guardhouse. The guard will not receive the message. The main phone line is for the purpose of calling out not receiving messages.
HOA Security, Safety and Emergency Preparedness (SSEP) Committee

Summary report to the HOA Board January 2023

The SSEP is continuing to work with North Fort Myers Fire department regarding possible different areas for future helicopter landing zones (LZ’s).

Car Fit program will be held on March 7, 2023, from 9 am to noon.

Firewise plans for the February 13th, 2023, event is ongoing, Waste Connections is again going to make a cash contribution and has paid for 200 meals from Mission BBQ. Karen will sell meal tickets at $10/ticket. Craig will purchase hamburgers, hot dogs, and water for the event. Ice cream, plus supplies, will be provided by Herons Glen. Various gift cards have already been submitted. A discussion of vendors and equipment was held. The ballroom will be available the night before for set-up.

There was follow up discussion regarding the radio antenna relocate and the installation of the generator at the guard house. Some prices have come in and were sent to Joyce.
Lights on the entry/exit gate arms were discussed.

Fire Extinguisher Training: possible event for Firewise. Howard will reach out to NFMFD to confirm.

Residents expressed concern about unauthorized openers to the Dennisport gate. By Lee County Ordinance, only the residents who live in the Dennisport cul de sac is permitted to have a gate clicker. Joyce is looking into ways to reset or change the type of clickers for the restricted use of the gate.

Speeding and running stop signs continue to be an issue.

SSEP thank Howard Nutt for his years of services and forming the Herons Glen CERT team. Barry Glaudel was appointed by the HOA Board to replace Howard as the CERT Chair. Howard and Barry will out the transition.

The next meeting will be held on February 24th, 2023.
