Ed Huetteman, HOA Treasurer
Delivered at the HOA Board Workshop September 3, 2024
The Finance Committee met on July 25, 2024.
The barcode reader board has been repaired. There had been an issue with communication with Dwelling Live. We are looking at replacing the controller. A lightning strike to one of the palm trees entered the Guard House and damaged the DVR and cameras. Bo’s Electric was hired to do repairs to the electrical circuit. The camera company assessed the cameras and provided a quote for replacing the damaged equipment. The invoices and quotes were submitted with the claim to the insurance company. Ed Huetteman will call an emergency meeting to address if the funds needed for replacement exceed the insurance claim proceeds.
The Guard House roof is scheduled for replacement in 2025. We would like to paint the Guard House and coordinate the paint color with the roof tile. Quotes for Roof replacement is expected in the Fall.
Manager Gillespie received a call back from LCEC regarding the street lighting lease fees. The old agreement with the builder is not available and they claim the older agreements expired. They indicated we are currently paying on a month-to-month basis for the original lights installed in 2004. We want our attorney to confirm the agreement is expired and now month to month and what the termination requirements are and if the existing electric wiring would be available if the HOA decided to install new lighting that is not leased. This will assist us to investigate what we can and cannot do to replace the lighting.
Wells Fargo bank accounts for Bingo and Activities have been transferred to First Horizon Bank.
The next meeting of the Finance Committee is scheduled for September 26, 2024, at 1:30pm in the HOA Conference Room.
