As last week’s HOA Bulletin reported, the 2024-2025 fiscal year budget was adopted by your HOA Board in September. Our fiscal year begins October 1. I would like to thank all of the volunteers who filled out the forms for this year. Each of your HOA Board Liaisons has nominated the chair and members of their respective committees. The board will adopt the new committees at Wednesday’s HOA Board Meeting. I also want to take this opportunity to review how our committee’s work. Each of our committees operate at the behest of the HOA Board who has the responsibility to appoint the chair and other member of the committees. Each committee member is issued a packet that outlines the charter or purpose of the committee, the duties and obligations of the committee and its members, a contact list, the meeting schedule and a code of ethics which the members are required to adhere to.
A reminder also that September is the peak of the hurricane season. Be sure your property is secured, and you have a plan in case a storm approached our area. It’s a good time to review Herons Glens Emergency Plan.
