Committee Members Patti Cummings, Mary Kelley, and Linda Lynch were in attendance, along with Joyce Gillespie and Chris Kozak. Mike Stropes had an excused absence.
The January 2025 minutes were reviewed and approved.
Chris, our Board liaison, reported that the motions she submitted to the Board with minor changes to the Communications Committee Charter, the new News Magazine Subcommittee Charter, and the Communications Media Content Policy & Operating Structure were all approved.
Linda informed the Committee that the HOA/HGRD article with the link to the Governing & Oversight Structure document and the responsibility lists were published in the recent February issue of The Heron News Magazine.
Staff of The Heron attempted to recruit photographers to cover HOA events at the January HOA Activities Fair without success. Linda and Becky designed an “ad” to be published in the March issue of The Heron and subsequent issues as needed.
Linda reminded members that the next Communications Committee meeting will take place on 3/12 instead of 3/19.
The group discussed various ideas to enhance resident opinions of the HOA Office and Staff. It was agreed we should look for opportunities which might be highlighted in The Heron or the weekly HOA Bulletin.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the HOA Conference Room.
