Monthly Report to the HOA Board
The Communication Committee convened on March 12, 2025, with members Patti Cummings, Mike Stropes, and Linda Lynch in attendance, along with Joyce Gillespie and Chris Kozak. Mary Kelley had an excused absence. The minutes of February 2025 were reviewed and approved.
Linda Lynch reported that The Heron News Magazine has lost several staff members and will be seeking replacements, particularly those with technology skills. She requested suggestions for potential candidates, and Mike Stropes indicated his willingness to assist as needed.
The committee reviewed an article regarding the blinking boulevard streetlights and discussed recommended changes. Linda Lynch will make the necessary revisions and submit the article for review prior to its publication in The Heron News Magazine.
The committee also discussed new areas of interest for future initiatives, including seeking input from HOA management and board members on beneficial items, revisiting feedback from the Welcome Committee’s new leadership, revising a previously published article on the importance of completing proxy forms, and emphasizing the completion of Emergency Contact forms. The status of the HOA website and the new homeowner portal was briefly discussed.
Respectfully submitted,
Linda Lynch, Communications Chair
