Monthly Report to the HOA Board
The HOA Activities Committee met on Thursday March 20, 2025. The meeting was called to order by HOA Board Liaison, Denise Fell at 10 a.m. In attendance: Susan Gregor, Jeff Jensen, Joyce Foreman, Debbie McKinstry and Suzanne Offutt. Jane Holddridge, Susan Darcy and Susan Wasserott had excused absences.
February 20, 2025, meeting minutes were approved unanimously.
Current account balance of $2140.13. A $50.00 check from Publix will be deposited shortly.
A resignation from Janet Norris was accepted due to personal reasons. We will be accepting applications in October to fill our open positions.
Completed Events
The Ice Cream Social is scheduled for Sunday, April 6th, 2025, from 4-6 pm in the Ballroom. The entertainment will be by the Island Coast High School Jazz Band. Committee members and volunteers will serve vanilla and chocolate sundaes to the Residents.
The annual Shredding Event was held on Monday, March 3, 2025. The event resulted in the shredding of 3980 pounds of documents, demonstrating the community’s commitment to security and sustainability. The $350 cost for the manned shredding machine was offset by donations from residents utilizing the service.
Future Events
- The 5K walk/run is currently in the project design phase, addressing aspects such as costs, location, sponsorships, T-shirts, routes, waivers, and SSEP involvement. The tentative date for the event is Saturday, March 14, 2026, pending approval.
- Golf Cart Madness – February 2026 – No Update
- Old Fashion Ice Cream Truck: Discussing dates with Vendor.
- Tangled Roots Potting Bar: Tangled Roots provides pots and plants (succulents/cacti) for residents to assemble and take home. Costs, minimum attendance, and availability of Activities Room A and the outdoor Gazebo area are being considered. The tentative date is Wednesday, May 7, 2025, pending location confirmation.
